Does anyone have more information about heel striking vs toe striking gaits? I've tried looking this up but all I can find is some pseudoscience vagina mag about how it's MUH 80% more efficient to walk with heel striking because SCIENCE. As if efficiency when walking is the most important factor to consider; next article, "why you don't lose weight walking because it barely uses any energy". If efficiency was all the mattered you might as well hop on a fucking scooter. I found a few sites which talked about toe striking reducing the impact on joints by engaging the foot muscles and I was wondering if this would have any affect on flat feet as well since it seems a lot of flat feet are caused by weak foot muscles. Problem is, when I specifically look up "toe striking gait" it just gives me 200 pages about how you should walk heel striking and toe striking isn't "normal". Doesn't actually tell you anything about it.
