How are American grad students perceived in non-American institutions?

I'm an undergraduate studying physics in the United States. Over here, physics is sorta over-saturated, so I was wondering about getting my Ph.D./looking for professorship positions in other countries. Do most institutions actively seek out/avoid American graduates?

Career physicists have always obtained phd's. If you're wanting to be competitive in the job market, get your undergrad, then a masters in EE or something

Thanks, but I'm asking about graduate school for physics, not EE. In the United States, there are many more Ph.Ds given out for theoretical physics than there are positions for teaching. I figured it would make more sense to go where the competition isn't as bad, especially if it has the added bonus of adventure.

US degrees are highly valued because unlike the european model, you do actual research with actual publication requirements and it lasts much longer than european phd programs. In fact, that model is considered so widely superior that most EU countries started implementing this model.
A fresh PhD grad from the US is roughly considered equivalent to a EU grad with 1 year postdoc.
