You can define .9... formally as the infinite series below. You can also easily prove it is convergent. So if you don't accept it as being 1, you know at least it is some finite value.

100% false.

"0.999..." means the 9s are repeating forever. An infinite amount of 9s. And guess what? Even though they are infinite, they'll NEVER be enough to make 1. It will FOREVER be less than 1. "0.999..." isn't finite, it's infinite. In other words it's FOREVER less than 1.
