There weren't many periods in history that were objectively good for human health except for the few at the top, imagine living in the early bronze age, hopefully you were either very isolated from those early empires AND on top of your tribal social order. Or you were some low level Noble in an empire that didn't have much upheaval, spoiler alert: the bronze age was pretty much a battle royale of genocide. Id rather live in today's times, my chances of having a comfortable and meaningful life are greater here than any other time in history. Could things be better? Sure they could. But it could be much, much worse.
