Hello, welcome to /asg/ - Actic Science General.
This is where you talk about based science here. The word Actic is just the name of this general.
When we look at the sky, we often ask 'Are we alone as a species on a planet? Or are there other species that live in other planets far away?'. Many of us are confused to whether aliens exist or not.
At first glance, you might think aliens exist. How can we be the only species to exist? There's no way that could happen, given the size of the universe, and the numbers of stars and planets, there must be one chance of a planet with life exists. Right?
Well if that was the case... Where are they? We probably would have seen millions by now outside the earth, hell maybe inside it. Where are they?
This is known as the Fermi Paradox. It goes like this:
>If there are a lot of planets and stars, aliens must exist.
>If aliens must exist, there must be many of them right now living near us
>There aren't any aliens we have seen nor located yet.
>That means aliens either don't exist, or we're less advanced towards finding them; using less advanced technology, or they used to exist, or we're too far away.
It's a very interesting discussion about life, philosophy, and astronomy mixed together.
What do you think?
Make this thread based, ayy lmao.
