The point is the brain just isn't wired to "see" other spacial dimensions because why the fuck would it? It's like trying to imagine a new color.
If you haven't read it, I'd recommend something called "flatland." It's a story about a guy in a 2d universe being visited by a sphere from the 3rd dimension who takes him to the lower dimensions to try and help a 2D-man conceptualize that there's a higher 3rd dimension.
It's a good primer for teaching you how to down project from a higher dimension into a lower one so you can imagine what a 4th spatial dimension would look like to a spherelander.
