Hello, I am from a less developed country in SEA, and I want to study in the west. What should I have to do?

I am planning to work and study at the same time to sustain myself financially.

The real thing I am worried about is racism and school shooting. Is it worth to study in America? Or what do the country in the west I can survive for studying data science. So after I graduate I can contribute to my country.

then decide what to study, e.g. if you want to do analysis then study statistics
otherwise you will just end up sucking at everything and you will fail every interview because other people actually focused on one thing instead of trying to be a unicorn

You could probably get a cheaper and better education in Europe for way less. I don't think universities in Switzerland or Germany take tuition fees, even from people outside EU/ESS. Or atleast the have symboilc fees of like 100 euros for a semester. ETH, EPFL or TUM is a good choice.

At all a small company, that wants you to build dashboards using their smaller than 1 gb dataset and a rapid web app framework, its okay to be a jack-of-all-trades.

The main reason why CS has so many morons is a lot of business roles need some basic programming skills while most business departments are only teaching students how to fuck around with excel and useless shit like marketing (marketing classes are useless not that marketing is not important for them) while most businesses require none of that.
This is why CS guarantees you a job as it is much more simple to teach someone that knows how to write some code whatever the company requiress rather than teach them both.
If business departments didn't suck as much CS departments would be way more competitive and rigorous but this won't happen any time soon.

Once this pandemic is over, your best bet is to try and study in Australia, the armed racists here don't seem to set foot in universities.

Data science is a meme though, if that's all you want to learn then just self-teach programming and statistics, then combine the two holistically.

You should be more worried about debt. You won't get any financial assistance from the US government and as an international student the number of hours you can work will be capped at 20 hours during the school year. You will never be able to make enough money as a student to cover your financial needs, so you'll have to borrow. Student loan interest rates are very high in the US, typically above 7%, and you won't be eligible for the subsided loans. Depending on how your credit system works in your home country, you might be able to just like, not pay the loan, but then you'll never be able to move back to the US or Europe ever again b/c your credit rating will haunt you (you could also potentially get in criminal trouble down the road in the US if your lender sues you and you don't show up to court, which would restrict your ability to travel internationally).
I'd highly recommend looking at options in Europe and Canada.

The corporate world is way different than academia. A data science major is valueable because it removes a lot of the costs associated with recruiting if ypu can prune a lot more people. The most important part for having a career in the private sector is getting early entry level positions and get under your batch 5 years of experience even if it is at a shitshow company like Deloitte or Accenture. Once you become a senior in a technical position you can move into management and barely work or become an "expert" and milk desperate companies that are uncapable of "finding talent". I do believe Data science majors are a meme but in the next 5 years the returns of getting one can be very high specially if you manage to get into a hedge fund or very niche corporate rolls.

Business schools are easier to enter than real graduate education and will cost you less money cumulatively. On top of that they will give you more prestige in the corporate world and they count as STEM so you will be able to stay in the States and milk those ridicolous 100k+ jobs for cleaning some lines of structure data,make some plots and importing python libraries to do the hard job.
