Psych here with minor in econ, 'encouraging' people on what to spend their money on for the benefit of the state is controlling in my books (i.e. auto enrol pension, choice architecture of cafeterias/supermarkets)

So if you are unconsciously being primed towards a certain decision, is it right? What if you prime the entire US to not eat at McD's and bankrupt them?
Maybe this is more an ethical discussion than scientific
