I recently finished a Master's in Physics, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I think it's time to get a real job now. However I have three options for what to do and I'm not sure what's the best option:
- Quant: Huge money and you get to keep using relatively advanced maths so the job will at least be intellectually stimulating. However, you don't really make an impact in the world and won't contribute to research or the world at large
- Product Manager: Help push a vision of a product into reality. You become the face of that product, have lasting impact on that product and there's a decent chance of being CEO in the future. However, the job is pretty much just A/B testing and presentations to people who don't know anything
- Management Consultant: Help some of the most important companies with C-suite level decisions; major impact and contact with major players worldwide. However, work is pretty boring and likely has no form of intellectual stimulation
How should I go about choosing a career path after college?
