Hey /sci/
I want to work in a nuclear power plant. I'm gonna major in nucelar engineering, but I'm wondering what would be the best type of engineering for a minor. (Electrical, mechanical, etc)

THe real future of nuclear power is not heavy fission but rather light fission ala lithium fission by self colliding proton systems.

No neutron radiation , no radioactive waste materials, no possibility of runaway reactions as with Fukushima, Chernobyl or Three Mile Island.

almost all plants are very old, building new plants is not interesting because it needs huge upfront investment, right now nobody can afford this, energy market is saturated, there is still need for small scientific and military reactors but that's it.
