I have two questions. So i'm learning about augmented matrices. You have three, 3 variable equations that are related to each other. You can alter one without messing with the others, then combine them without doing the same alteration to the others? Doesn't this go against everything I learned in algebra? How do they stay related to one another when you multiply one equation by -2 or whatever? Second question. Do you ever get to a point in mathematics where you can't understand the why and just do it because that's what's the book says? I really have a hard time remembering something if I don't really understand the reason why it works. Thank you friends.
