Have a low gpa from a number 1 school with research. Double majored in STEM and took the hardest classes and did all honors. I work with 4.0s that are clueless. I'm salty I'll have to do extra to get into grad school because of a number.

It's all a game. You should realize that 9 to 5 jobs are made for people who are clueless. You don't really need to be a genius to arrive in time, send some emails and then go home. Being able to keep a good number is an indicator that you will be the perfect mindless drone who is probably not even self-aware to do the repetitive task the employer needs you to do.

If you think you are actually smart then prove it. Start a business.

Not really. I had a mediocre (3.6) gpa from a shitty state school, double major in stem, honors program, and some research and I had no problem getting into good schools. So long as your core proficiencies are all 4.0 it doesn't matter much.

I know several people that got into respected graduate programs with a 3.0 from a high-ranking school.

You won't get into the top PhD program, but if you write good essays you will get in somewhere good.
