Is there scientific evidence to prove, or at least enough science to make an educated guess that taking quinine and zinc can prevent SARS-COV2 infection or somehow shorten the duration of infection or result in lower viral loads?

A few doctors are advocating daily zinc and Quinine as Quinine is similar in it's effects to hydroxycloroquine and zinc is an active ingredient in some antivirals. I was just curious if anyone thought this was plausable as quinine is a cheap OTC drug and I would take it if I thought it would have preventative effects against COVID.

British military officers were tired of losing the war against the pajeets to the fucking terrain so they finally adapted one the folk medicine routines by having bitters added to the gin and tonic, turned out the quinine, while it fucks you up if you take it by itself, puts enough zinc in your cells to close off the protein API long enough to be useful

Yes. Unironically copper, iron, and zinc all compete for the same protein API in our cells. You can get into a state where not enough copper and iron can't get in to be able transport the correct nutrients in the blood
