i have a boat and a buoy
the buoy is made from aluminium and the other ring is welded in 90 degrees angle

i assume that the weld would stand around 300kg/600lbs of weight on top of it before breaking

my boat is 4000kg/8800lbs, i calculated that if it moves 3mph or 5kmh it would make around 3800 J of kinetic energy, how does this convert into lbs thinking of the weight on the link..?

First off, I can barely understand what you are even asking. I assume you are asking if the boat will break the buoy? Find out the pressure exerted by the boat, then see if that pressure will cause the strain on the buoy to become too great as to cause it to break. That is if I understand what you are even asking.
