You have failed the point of college if you haven't made at least a tiny social network. It might even be too late as this late in the game people will catch onto the desperation of you padding your resume with references. Like that fat chick looking for drunk guys 1:55am. Except no one's drunk.

I go to a somewhat smaller university too, not like a NCAA one where you are drowned out. sometimes I envy that.

Same for me.
I also play a ton of video games but i can't relate to these people making gamer culture or coding their identity. Probably doesn't help that i stick out like a sore thumb because i'm a bit older than the rest and a /fit/izen. Actually feel like a lot of them look down on me for not being a typical compsci incel. Jokes on them i ace all of my classes

I did not make any friends in my four years of my electrical engineering bachelors. just studied on my own, sat in the back of the class, and avoided people. not even sure how i got letters of recommendation for grad school as i never talked to professors except one i did research with.
for grad school i plan to join a club or two and hope to make friends

You will realize that research isn't as cool as it seems in college.

I'm half normie, half autist. I have a good amount of friends, and a lot of acquaintances. I'm well-known in my major. I get along pretty well with everyone, and they dismiss all of my weirdness as funny quirks. Despite that, I have my eccentricities, I miss most of the parties that I'm invited to (I still get to go to a good amount of parties, though), and I have my reclusive moments too.
