Why is the maths in the ACTUAL study of mathematics much more piddly compared to the maths in things like physics or data science?

Analysing the sum of primes, compared with things like tensor calculus seems laughable.

I can easily write a computer program to solve typical tensor calculus problems once I understand them. They also tend to be straightforward to derive by hand, as long as you know what you're doing. Not so with number theory, usually. The hard problems just tend to be much less algorithmic and more creative in nature.

The difficulty in grasping the core concepts of advanced calculus, complex analysis, etc is more of a IQ filter than an actual marker of how difficult a field of math is.
