From my understanding, if you go from I to III by managing to either fold parts of or rip spacetime to travel faster than light, wouldn't III just be a continuation of I if I has infinite distance?

Do you guys think that it would be a parellel universe with differnt constants, or would it just be a continuation? And if it's the same universe, wouldn't that imply that it isn't flat, but rather curved into itself?
