Hello /sci/,

I will hopefully get my bachelor's in physics this summer, and then go on to get my master's in two years.

I love physics (especially theoretical), and I also love nature and the great outdoors, so my question is: how can I get an /out/ job as a physicist? I'm talking about a job that makes me spend time in remote natural places

Something related to water supply? In the mountains the water supply often comes from mountain streams and reservoirs and they need to test the water, build and maintain equipment up in the mountains for it, etc.

I was on a research trip to Antarctica once. That is a possibility if you know someone involved.
There were birders on the ship which apparently anyone can do. I didn't ask if they got paid though.
There are other things on ships you could do. Some measure air pollution and need the devices maintained every so often for example.
Field trips for finding and counting plants or animals are rare but possible, not exactly physics though.
It doesn't count as /out/, but many companies look for student transporters, delivering packages to people or getting people from A to B. If you have contacts into the car industry you can be a long-distance test driver.
Vlogging or similar can be good money if you're super charismatic.

Do you want it to be related to physics? There are other very interesting /out/ jobs, like when you're a good climber maintaining radio stations or power plants as an industrial climber, where some knowledge is super helpful. Actually, there are loads of jobs for good climbers.

well it doesn't necessarily have to do with physics, just asking which jobs I can land with a physics background

one of my friends did soil physics and she travels all over the world doing soil samples if that interests you, or perhaps geophysics
