What would you guys consider to be the best anode material for general electrochemistry. I'm too poor for noble metal electrodes. Graphite works, but it disintegrates pretty badly. I was thinking lead dioxide maybe, but then lead contamination might be an issue. The material should at least be resistant to sulfuric acid.
