In the advanced stadium of cancer it spreads to the bones. And the conseguent pain is excruciating and opiods can't manage that pain because of various reasons:

1) tollerance building
2) opiod Overdose causes death by respiratory problems.

This is why morèhine can't handle that pain.

Which new pain medications have been discovered to treat the pain? Are they effective as opioids?
