Copernicus is overrated. The previous epicycle model predicts just as accurately as the heliocentric model, albeit with less elegance. He refactored someone else's code to make it less complex. Big deal. People treating this like it's as or more important than the discovery of calculus or DNA are insane. Copernicus should be a footnote we don't remember. Change my mind.
