>>11543392I've only known one person IRL who was verified MENSA member. Predictably, they were indeed very smart and good at anything they attempted, and they attempted many different things.
This guy started out in construction, became good so quickly he was soon running his own business, was good at that too- sold his business and went into a completely different business which I won't say because I don't want to reveal his identity- but it isn't construction. He then proceeds to become one of the most successful people in that business in the region of the state he is in, and it is one of the three biggest states in the country and largest counties in the state.
For fun he has learned the complete anatomy of every machine he has ever operated, electronic devices and computers too, although I don't know if he knows VLSI design or not- but I wouldn't put it past him to learn it and then start doing photo-lithography in his fucking garage and then starting his own small scale semi-conductor shop.
Basically this guy's learning speed is really high. I have never spoken with him personally but I am close with multiple people who are close with him and this is what they all pretty much say.
Personally I don't have a high IQ- (fucken dropped rite) I have never had it tested professionally- although I have many different cognitive games from professional psychology testing software that are known subtests of professional IQ tests and I typically score in the 90th percentile, sometimes higher, sometimes lower depending on my strengths and weaknesses. If I were to test that on a professional IQ test that would put me at 120, which is mental retardation according to /sci/ and I would have to agree with them because I pretty much suck at everything I do.
I known three other guys that I can't fit in this post.
