That's why we have these restrictions. Even if it isn't more deadly than the flu (that's unlikely) it is much more contagious than the flu, because usually during flu season a decent proportion of the population have been vaccinated (the sensible people) and many others have limited immunity from prior exposure. Which means that the flu does not infect as many people as it would otherwise. Covid-19 however has no vaccination and nearly no one has immunity due to prior exposure. Some people might have natural immunity, but we can't rely on that. Consequently it's highly contagious, which is why cases were doubling much more frequently than every 6 days before we all went into lockdown.
So wash your hands. User hand sanitiser when you can't. Stop touching things. Stop touching your face. Keep your distance from others. Don't share cigarettes with strangers. Stay at home if you're privileged enough to have a home you can stay at.
