its not that he is unwilling to communicate, its that he is unwilling to submit himself to some kind of tribunal where others can try to stumble and embarrass himself, why would he even do that? there is absolutely no reason for him to do so
the reason why you will never see any notable mathematician asking written questions to mochizuki, is because they dont understand most of his work, and they are too proud to admit it
and so they simply claim hes too autistic for them
