Let's discuss something other than the covid-19 for once. What do you fine gentlemen think about the Leica's newest confocal?
I personally feel that currently it feels a bit underwhelming. Sure, the updated hybrid detectors and the new WLL are nice, but other than that it does not look all that special. I'm still not sure what to make of the TauSense thing, since I have no idea how it works just yet, and they didn't really explain it well during the reveal, but to me it does not look like it's going to revolutionize confocal imaging any time soon.
They thing simply looks like a slightly polished SP8, which is actually not all that surprising, and not all that bad even, but I still kinda hoped that they'll make something interesting this time.
