From the perspective of power alone, what country would want to be without its tech? Any country that could hold on to it would be immediately superior. We are not going back. If everything goes to shit and it's truly lost, then yes, but not willingly, not by design. The path forward will only accelerate, especially when we have enough problems that we cannot waste resources on vanity projects.
