Because our culture teaches us that it's something we're supposed to do.
I regularly smoke weed, because it's much, much better than booze. It also helps me make science. I avoid any other drugs though (because I read a book on narcology before I tried any)

I would try poppy not gonna lie. Kava kava is pretty dope for a CNS depressant herb but it's fairly benign if you're not a polysubstance abuser with liver failure.

I used to like weed, now it's either boring or makes me anxious. Would rather mix alcohol or benzos with DMT, Mescaline or LSD. I do enjoy a good hash tho, plain weed is just a waste of money for me (and it's often overpriced).
