Gene editing is still really difficult and complicated, we would first have to figure out what genes to mutate, how to mutate them, and then actually do the job which would involve a ton of mutations all of which have high error/failure rates.
I mean in some very far off, distant future where we have virtually infinite wealth as a society, sure. But not anytime in this millenia.
