Typically when using a single-channel pipette, you load (aspirate) from the first stop and then expel it into your container by going to the second stop (so additional air will drive liquid off of the interior of the pipette tip).
However, say I need to quickly load 500ml +/- 10ml of liquid into many tubes (does not need to be super accurate). Would it be OK to get a 0.5-5ml pipette, aspirate from the second stop (thereby filling the tip at around 5ml), and then expel using the first stop multiple times (in this case ~10) in order to save time loading?
Again, this does not need to be super duper accurate, I just need roughly 500ml of liquid in each tube.
