I'm not very educated so please be nice. If I recorded all the "data" a millisecond after the Big Bang happened - the position, velocity, acceleration, mass, charge, energy, etc. of every particle - and fed it into a super good computer, would the computer be able to predict exactly everything that has ever happened and will ever happen?

OK but you just asked about what is explained in quantum physics which is one of the harder branches of physics.
You start with Heisenberg in that you simply cannot measure all the data with perfect precision. And we do not know if there even is an underlying truth we cannot reach.

The assumption that the universe has an ultimate particle structure may limit the capacity of this alleged computer to make a good prediction. You should read The Last Question, by I. Asimov. At least Asimov makes the right assumption that such a computer must be at least as big as the universe itself.

I may refer here to the Three-Body Problem: if your universe had only three particles you could not solve their dynamics analytically. The solution would be numerical at best, which creates an ever-growing deviation of the prediction as time goes. No way this can work unless you reinvent maths.

For the universe? It would be truly impossible -- requiring a computer exponentially greater in size and power than already exists in the entire universe; God perhaps.

But in theory... yes. If you had the exact information of everything, to the nearest billionth decimal place, you could deduce their end states.

That is, so long so you don't consider quantum mechanics, which are seeming non-deterministic. Even biological systems rely on quantum mechanics to an extent, so there's no getting around it.

So, on second thought, no.

If no, he isn't omnipotent, which is a key characteristic of God.
