Even assuming that all posts after the first reply to exactly one earlier post, it is impossible to tell whether the 3rd or the 4th post replies to the 1st or the 2nd.

The posts form a directed acyclic graph. The order of the posts is a topological ordering of the graph. The number of replies for each post is the degree of the corresponding vertex.

You’re asking whether the vertices’ degrees and a topological order is sufficient to recover the structure of the graph.

The answer is no, as demonstrated with two distinct graphs on 5 vertices which have the same vertex degrees and admit the same topological order.
