Protection of COVID-19 does not require covering the skin away from the face.

Covering the face including mouth and nose is enough to prevent contracting COVID-19. It is a respiratory disease. Using a full-body PPE suite is unnecessary and counterproductive. They are used for Ebola because Ebola virus is present in all bodily fluids, especially blood which can be present in the skin of a person along with vomit because of internal (and occasionally external) hemorrhagia. Full-body PPE suites can only be worn for a limited time. Thus they strain health workers more. Moreover, in this case they scare people that the disease is worse than it is.

Reminder than COVID-19 has a CFR of 0.2% among young people (< 40 years old). It is always important to take hygienic measures like washing one’s hands and avoiding to touch one’s face when one is outside. Transmissible diseases have always existed. COVID-19 is neither the first,
nor the deadliest,
nor the most contagions,
nor the worst,
nor the last.
