quantum computers use electromagnetic fields to suspend a atom or proton or electron and these have a pole which can be tracked. they are rotated with either a radio or microwave signal and their pole position is used to log data mechanically . 3 positions can be tracked as of 3 years ago. vertical A (up), vertical B (down) and 90 degrees to the side. anything else is forced to be acknowledged as one of those 3 to prevent minor errors and decrease complexity in machine language to decode the data
now here is the thing none of that can be done without conventional processors. at best you have the most complex memory cache or data storage device. so that slab on the processor for the cache or your hd / ssd could be replaced and thats it. its like saying a abacus is a computer. it logs data but no processing is done with it
japan has a computer thats faster than nasas and googles joint venture. it uses parallel processing. china made one thats faster than japans and then japan made a new one thats faster than chinas. its using gpu technology not cpu technology. serial is slower at repetitive tasks than parallel which does all of it at the same time.
