Why haven't they got better at all /sci/? everyone keeps telling me how automation is gonna take over but i can't see any advances in the last decade at least, all 'robots' seem clunky and dumb.

It's not so much due to robot than it is due to the parts that make 'em

We have advertised and capitalized on electrical engineering that litteraly every other field is currently bottlenecking it

Mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, hell, even bio-engineering can't keep up with the pace

there's no point in having highly advanced robot coomers if you can't have hands that do not jack you off in a realistic manner

but like honestly, what has happened since smartphones? A bit faster computers, it's normal to own an electric car I guess now. Feels like 2014 was the last year smartphones changed in quality dramatically too.
