It is my understanding that the original claims of Chinese mass organ-harvesting came from Falun Gong, and the evidence used was short waiting times for transplants. Given that Falun Gong is known for cult-like behaviour and are generally pretty sketchy, it sounded like a logical leap but something that might be plausible.

Now people are claiming, and it's essentially passed into the collective consciousness as a fact, that China is harvesting organs live from the Uighurs. Given how secretive China is in Xinjiang and how little information we have about the detainment camps, is there any way to know if it is true or are people just extrapolating from the earlier claims?

Is there any credible evidence that this is happening and if so what is it?
