I'm a dude in my mid 20s I never took studying seriously in my life, in school I was going through a lot and so even though I wasn't doing too bad academically I was never able to be anything above mediocre.
Anyway as I try the get my life together and realized I'm embarrassingly uneducated in the ways of math and science. What's a good place/way for an adult with a very basic understanding, if at all, of those fields to start at? I don't have the time to go through textbooks, I'm not looking for a shortcut but if there's a book or a series or something that is a good start I'd like to know instead of just picking an algebra book for 6 graders.
