A living being, such as a person, consists of a specific arrangement of atoms at any given time. Imagine you recreated this specific arrangement of atoms exactly, so that you effectively cloned the person into existence from the same atoms sourced elsewhere. Would this clone become alive? Would it be a lifeless corpse or would all the autonomous biological systems inside the body just start functioning out of nowhere, creating consciousness independently? If it would be just a lifeless corpse (which seems probable), there must exist something outside the natural world that gives biological things life, e.g. a soul.
Is there a possible scientific explanation for this? Do you believe that there are things that cannot be explained by science?
