Basic info for people just waking up:
4chan was infected by a cope-and-seethe poster on /v/. Symptoms are very mild at first, so to avoid infection you need to look closely at "Anonymous" because sometimes symptoms will be as subtle as a few accents over one letter.
The virus appears to have a 100% infection rate, once you are exposed you are infected.
We need healthy anons for experiments. Post ITT (without replying to anybody) if you would like to offer yourself as a human guinea pig. Infected anons, do not reply directly to uninfected users.
What we know:
(you)s spread it. There's some uncertainty over whether it's you replying to an infected user or an infected user replying to you or both. Seeing as how patient zero presumably spread it by the people replying to them, I think we can safely say that replying to an infected user spreads it. The reverse probably does too but I don't know if we've confirmed that it does.
There is an incubation period based on time (not post count as initially believed). It appears to be around 15-30 minutes after you first get infected is when you show symptoms.
IT IS NOT KNOWN whether these users are contagious or not during this time! We need healthy anons for this experiment.
The virus gets worse with time (again, time not posts). But other than the visual effects I don't think there is any difference.
Not sure how getting healthy works, I don't know if the game has been going on long enough for people to recover. I've seen users on other threads claiming to be recovered but they also might be lying.
