Are such eclipses common in other solar systems? Maybe they're connected by physics and co-occur often. I don't know. Also, sometimes, luck just happens.

Nope. The Moon's orbit is an ellipse. Sometimes it is farther away from Earth and the result is an annular eclipse. Closer and the Sun is blocked entirely. Closest produces the longest full eclipse times.

I like that.
On /tg/ once we were theorycrafting spaceflags, I don't remember exactly the parameters, I think we were trying to make a space federation flag without earthican bias and made this.

Really like eclipses as a concept for a map.
