Non-science guy here but does this molecule exist? It's carbon connected to 4 oxygen and each oxygen is connected to another one. Kinda like a bowtie with C im the middle.

It has never been detected. It is the D2d isomer of carbon tetraoxide. The D2v isomer is more stable and has been detected.

Tetrahedals of carbon stick together like that, that is why diamonds that consist of only carbon are such a strong material. However I dont know about having oxygen form tetrahedals with carbon though.
