How can I, as a human observer, STANDING ON EARTH, know whether the Moon is flat or a sphere? It sure looks flat. Like a flat disk. It doesn't even rotate. The play of light from the Sun (supposedly - let's just say that's where that light comes from) doesn't prove it's a sphere, btw.
