Is there a VPN that is trustworthy? I'm suspect of most them, particularly those with heavy advertising. Am I just being paranoid? (probably)
Proton and Mullvad seem the most legit but i'm still not sold...
Can you convince me to get a VPN and justify your reasoning. Bonus points for the best VPN suggestions.

I don't think there is one. There used to be a Norwegian or Swedish VPN, based on a company from TPB founder or something, I forgot.
They all offer you services for super cheap money. That says they're using the data gathered from you to sell it. VPNs are the greatest scam right now being advertised.

They still keep media companies from sending you letters for piracy and let you see region-restricted content from anywhere. If you're using a VPN to commit serious crimes or whistleblow you're a lost cause.

If you use a VPN it just makes it harder for the feds to track you when you tell them to kill themselves. Do you actually expect them to do work? Think of their fat sausage fingers.
