Scientifically speaking, how can people be dumb enough to the point of denying there is a serious pandemic going on?
I see even presidents and governors questioning the veracity of the pandemic, claiming no one is sick because they don't know anyone sick, and etc.

Is there a name of this mental condition? Will the corona pandemic be used in the future as an example that denialists are mentally unsound enough to deny a historic event happening even in front of their eyes?
