It's handy if you're looking for a nifty way of visually showing the grouping, increasing weights, and the relations of the elements to one another, but it's not going to replace the conventional table anytime soon.
I actually like these kinds of PT visualizations as a geometric and artistic expression of the elements, but I wouldn't rely on in any serious chemist work.
