My friend had a dream on the night of the anniversary of one of her friend’s deaths. She said she had not been thinking about him at all and didn’t even know the exact day on which her friend died, but saw the next morning on FB that that was the anniversary.

What is the scientific /psychological explanation for this? Could she have been thinking about her friend subconsciously without knowing it?
