Many are predicting big changes coming in the post-COVID world. But what, specifically, will they be? Increased focus on genetic editing? This is likely. But what is one of the major hurdles in this area? Protein folding and the lack of computational capacity to crack it. So then, will there be a greater push for quantum computing and AI? Perhaps computation and gene editing will become twin forces that feed into each other, each further advancing the other. Whatever happens, the end result will be ever-increasing intelligence. This situation is just the catalyst we needed to boost what is probably the singular aim of all human activity: the quest for superintelligence, by whatever means. It's literally a matter of life and death now.
