I'm a bit of a slow newfag to the world of genomics so I apologise how retarded this probably sounds, but has anyone thought to try RNAi?
With all the coronavirus sequences being published, wouldn't it just be possible to make some dsRNA, chop it with Dicer yada yada yada and silence the impacts of coronavirus' genetic material?
I get that it'd be a very low success rate and it'd require a lot of fine tuning (not to mention off target effects and errors and shit), but hypothetically isn't it a possible starting point? Why/why not?
