This is anecdotal advice based on intelligence alone, not medical or scientific.
1 - Turn the heater up to 85+ indoors
2 - Take Lots of Vitamin C
3 - Get a large amount of water nearby, take small sips as often as possible, preferably bottles within reaching distance, warm water, never cold.
4. Use blankets, with the heaviest blankets around neck and chest area while laying on back.
Goals: Support any fever response via the higher temperature help. Create a constant source of hydration for the throat and not let it dry, while also letting you deal with the high temp.
Other advice: Very hot warm long baths with wet towel on top. Very hot warm showers. Very hot warm foods that will lubricate along throat (thick sauces)
