Noting yet, but in the future for example as memory.

What I don't get is why this is so special, when they have to pulse the system continuously. When I read the first article about this it seemed they change their structure periodically by themselves after one initial hit.

Are crystals basically just Conway's game of life?
And time crystals are basically oscillators?
If this holds true, then shouldn't all the shit possible in conway's game of life be possible in crystals also? Assuming we've just never been able to examine properly.

That doesn't logically follow. Oscillators exist in numerous CA rulesets, but that doesn't make all of those rulesets equivalent in other respects.

I didn't say in ALL crystals. Obviously the properties of the crystal changes the rules. But assuming you find a crystal that mimics the Conway's ruleset, if one is even physically possible. If not maybe there's one that gets close enough.

Maybe you could find a crystal with CA rules that allows for things conway can't do. It could open a whole new field of computer science if you can make a single crystal computer that runs on ambient energy.

They don't. They're both oscillate but that doesn't mean they're similar in other respects, and they aren't.
