So there's two trains of thought going with DIY anti-viral masks:
>make a mask with a pocket for some kind of filter, and use a vacuum bag filter or asthmatic filters you can get off of the internet
>Just have several layers of fabric

In either case, how do you clean the mask itself? Other than just leaving it to sit out in sunlight (in which case you'd just have several masks that you rotate through). I've seen people suggesting microwaving or subjecting to steam, and UV. In the case of steam, heat, pressure, and water I've seen people suggest, with cited sources, that doing so would result in the mask losing its filtering capacity. The problem with UV is that it only penetrates so far.

Any other ideas? Or just having several that you rotate through.
